Studio CODE OF CONDUCT
guidelines for ShARING PHYSICAL SPACE
The ways that we share physical space have and continue to evolve. We do our best to hold respectful, inviting spaces and kindly ask that you navigate all aspects of your FT experience with integrity and compassion. Read below to learn about practices we employ to show the finest care for you, our community and our environments.
Mi casa es su casa. We create intimate spaces and relations that have never found the need for traditional reception. We use the KISI system as our mode of entry into the studio to promote a seamless, safe, private and autonomous experience. See FAQs for info and troubleshooting.
All sessions are 50 minutes. As there are often only 10 minutes between sessions and classes, please do your best to arrive on time.
Unison specifics:
Doors for Unison classes are only open 10 minutes before and after class start time. Studio doors will otherwise be locked.
There are 5 machines in the room, please be respectful of others’ space while taking up your own. We encourage you to ask questions if you feel comfortable doing so because what can support one can often support many. Dialogue and candour can feed both your practice and the in-unison energy.
Leave no trace mentality.
We are a low-waste environment, we encourage you to use refillable cups and to please be mindful of bringing and leaving waste at the studio. We have a fountain for refilling your water bottle in our lobby and garbage in the bathroom should you need one.
We have a bench with closed cubby storage and coat hooks for keeping your things.
Unison class participants, please keep your prop box neat. Leave how you would receive.
Phone Free Zone. Phones are not permitted in the practice rooms and we encourage you to remove or silence your smartwatch while in class or session. Please refrain from taking personal calls in our lobby.
A personal hand sanitizer and set of towels will be waiting for you on arrival at your machine.
Please use the hand sanitizer before and after using the machine.
Towels can be used for everything from drying your hands after using the bathroom to softening your touch-points on the Reformer, our linen towelettes are just the right size for the headrest! Place your towels in any of the laundry bins in the practice rooms or bathroom on your way out.
Cleanliness is important to us.
Frequent detailing and maintenance of machines —disinfection and sanitization of all parts including regular washing of straps.
Practice rooms and surfaces throughout the studio are cleaned between each class or session.
Our HVAC system is new in 2019, it is efficient and intakes through a fresh air valve. In addition to our windows, which will be open weather permitting, these points ensure our air quality is good and not stagnant.
If you feel ill in any way or are presenting any cold/flu-like symptoms please refrain from coming into the studio until you feel well again. As fee-for-time practitioners, our late cancellation policies protect our livelihood and business. We value your time and health as well as our own, but cancellation policies are firm. We appreciate all the ways you take care of yourselves and our relationship.
Masking We do not require clients or staff to wear masks in session.
We encourage all people to do what they feel comfortable with regarding mask-wearing in public spaces. For Solo sessions, please communicate directly with your instructor to establish boundaries that work best for you.
